The film, set against the backdrop of the 2002 Godhra train burning incident, promises a gripping narrative that delves into one of India’s most devastating tragedies. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, The Sabarmati Report also stars Ridhi Dogra, Raashii Khanna, and Barkha Singh in pivotal roles.

Netizens who attended the advance screenings and early screenings today have shared their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) and the buzz surrounding the film is undeniably positive. One box office page praised the film for its thought-provoking take on the ideological conflict between Hindi-speaking journalists and Westernized media, calling it an essential watch for every Indian. Vikrant Massey, who plays a vernacular journalist in the film, has been garnering attention for his portrayal of complex characters. During promotions, he shared how his role in The Sabarmati Report bears similarities to his character in the recent film 12th Fail.

According to Massey, both characters are intellectually driven, face everyday challenges, and have relatable struggles. He mentioned, "Interestingly, my role in 12th Fail and The Sabarmati Report shares unique similarities. Both characters are intellectually driven and face challenges with everyday tasks.
