Poila Baisakh or Bengali New Year is celebrated on April 15 every year. Bigg Boss 16 fame, Tina Datta, who is a Bengali herself and holds a special place for her culture in her heart, always celebrates this day with her family.
However, this year, as she is unable to celebrate the occasion due to her busy shooting schedule for Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum on Sony TV in Umargaon, Tina, expressing her love for the festival, adorned herself in a saree, and wished her fans.
Despite being away from home, Tina, taking to Instagram, posted images of herself looking ravishing in a white saree with red border and completed her look with beautiful gold jewellery and a red bindi.
In the caption, Tina wrote in both Bengali and English, "Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. May this Poila Baisakh bring joy and abundance in everyone's life. Jai Maa Durga."

In a recent interview, Tina recalled her childhood memories of celebrating Bengali new year with her family and told Zoom TV, "New years bring a new energy of enthusiasm and power. I have always been someone who loves to celebrate festivals and Poila Baisakh has been one of my favourite ones.
"Spending time with family, cooking as well as eating traditional Bengali cuisines has been a ritual. This year I'm shooting in Umargaon so can't go home yet celebrating it. Will start my day with a pooja and cook something sweet. May this Poila Baisakh bring newer beginnings in everyone's lives. Have fun with your loved ones and enjoy with lots of sweets and treats!! Lots of love to all…"
Tina also fondly reminisced about her childhood, saying, "We used to shop a week prior, new clothes and accessories… Decorate our house in Kolkata, cook lots of sweets and variety of cuisine. It used to be a feast at our house. As a child I got so many gifts, my parents still get me a gift. Sweet memories!!"
On the work front, Tina's show Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum airs on Sony Entertainment Television every Monday to Friday at 9 pm.
