Kobali on Disney+ Hotstar
Releasing on February 4, Kobali is a riveting Telugu crime-drama that promises intense action, an engaging storyline and stellar performances. Directed by Revanth Levaka, who also co-wrote the story with Jeevan Bandi, Rajasekhar Reddy and Kammireddy, the series explores the devastating effects of revenge and greed.
The plot revolves around two families locked in a cycle of vengeance and retribution, with secrets unravelling as conflicts escalate. Set in a rural backdrop, the series highlights the destructive power of revenge on lives and communities.
The ensemble cast includes Ravi Prakash, Syamala, Rocky Singh, Venkat, Tarun Rohith, Dr. Bharath Reddy and others. The series features gripping dialogues penned by Revanth Levaka and Dattatreya Reddy, complemented by Gowra Hari’s impactful background score. Produced by Jyothi Meghavath Rathod, Raja Sekhar Reddy Kammireddy, and Tirupati Srinivasa Rao, Kobali is set to captivate audiences with its emotional depth and thrilling narrative.
Sivarapalli on Prime Video
Premiering on January 24, Sivarapalli is a Telugu adaptation of the popular Hindi series Panchayat. This comedy-drama, produced by The Viral Fever (TVF) and directed by Bhaskhar Maurya, takes viewers on a heartwarming journey through rural India.
The story follows Shyam, a city-bred engineering graduate who reluctantly takes up the role of a panchayat secretary in the remote village of Sivarapalli. As Shyam navigates the quirks of rural life, he finds himself in hilarious yet touching situations, showcasing the charm and chaos of village life.
The eight-episode series features a talented cast, including Rag Mayur, Muralidhar Goud, Rupa Lakshmi, Uday Gurrala, Sunny Palle and Pavani Karanam. Written by Shanmukha Prashanth, the series blends humour with heartfelt moments, making it relatable to viewers across India.
Both Kobali and Sivarapalli offer unique narratives that cater to diverse tastes. While Kobali delves into intense themes of revenge and its consequences, Sivarapalli brings light-hearted humour and emotional depth to the screen.
