Vaazhai OTT Release Update: The critically acclaimed Tamil movie of the year is all set to make its digital debut soon. The film revolves around children’s dilemma in life has impressed the audience in theatres. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the movie earned praise from Tamil Cinema legends Rajinikanth, Shankar, Mani Ratnam, Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan, and Sivakarthikeyan. Vaazhai was made on a budget of Rs 5 crore and collected Rs 26.78 Crore in India. It was released in theatres on August 23, 2024.
About Vaazhai
The story revolves around a twelve-year-old boy and people around him including his friends and family. They navigate life challenges where a tree named Vaazhai becomes a central presence. The movie stars Dhivya Dhuraisamy, Kalaiyarasan, J. Sathish Kumar, Priyanka Nair, Ponvel and Karnan Janaki in key roles.
Recently, director Mari Selvaraj shared a poster of the movie and thanked the audience for their undying support to the film even 5 weeks after its release. He wrote on Instagram, “Undying support and love have led to 5 weeks of #Vaazhai ✨ #Vaazhai5thWeek ✨ Book Your Tickets Now!!!! #VaazhaiRunningSuccesfully 🎉✨ #VaazhaiRainingEmotions.”
Vaazhai OTT Release Update
After the successful run at theatres, the movie was supposed to be released on the popular OTT platform Disney + Hotstar in September. Now, the makers have postponed the release date of the movie until next month. Vaazhai will be streaming on Disney + Hotstar on October 11. The movie will be available in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.
The OTT platform shared the news on Instagram and wrote, “#Vaazhai Streaming From October 11 on Disney+ Hotstar Streaming in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.”
