The father-son duo David and Varun Dhawan are all set to reunite for another comedy venture titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Ha after collaborating on films like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. Besides Varun, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde and has already completed over half of its shoot. As per the latest buzz, the actors have completed the sequence in Rishikesh and are heading to Scotland for a one-month-long schedule starting April 22.
The upcoming entertainer is being helmed by David Dhawan and produced by Ramesh Taurani under the Tips banner. Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will feature Varun Dhawan in his sigature comedic style and with his energectic dance moves.
A source close to the film, claimed, "Apart from the leading pair of Varun, Mrunal, and Pooja, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai features Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar in key roles. A lot of combination scenes, leading to chaos on screen will be shot in Scotland. The conclusion of Scotland schedule will lead to a film wrap, not-with-standing a couple of songs and some patchwork sequences."

Back in April 2024, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the reunion of David and Varun for a new project on his Instagram. This project marks the fourth collaboration between actor and director following the success of their previous works like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2 and Coolie No 1.
Meanwhile, Varun is gearing up for Border 2. Directed by Anurag Singh, also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in key roles. It is a follow up to JP Dutta's 1997 war classic Border. The original film made an impactful mark in Indian cinema, depicting the 1971 India-Pakistan war, and captivated audiences with unforgettable characters and songs.
He also has Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in the pipeline. Varun will be sharing screen space with Janhvi Kapoor along with Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles.
