Vidaamuyarchi Advance Booking: Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's highly anticipated film, Vidaamuyarchi, is poised to make a significant impact at the box office. With its release just around the corner, the movie is already generating substantial buzz, with pre-sales indicating a strong opening. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film's promising start has already created a sense of excitement among fans and industry observers alike. According to the trade analysts, the Tamil movie is expected to be Ajith Kumar's biggest openning.

According to trade website Sacnilk, as of Tuesday evening, Vidaamuyarchi had sold approximately 2.5 lakh tickets, translating to a gross of Rs 7.91 crore, including blocked seats. This impressive pre-sales performance suggests that the film is on track to surpass the likes of Daaku Maharaaj and Sankranthi Vasthunam. With two days remaining before its grand release, Vidaamuyarchi's pre-sales business is expected to continue growing, potentially propelling it to even greater heights.
About the film: Vidaamuyarchi is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film, directed by the acclaimed Magizh Thirumeni. The film's narrative is inspired by the 1997 American thriller Breakdown. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the esteemed Lyca Productions banner, Vidaamuyarchi boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including the versatile Ajith Kumar, alongside the talented Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav and Ramya Subramanian.
The film's storyline revolves around Arjun's character, who embarks on a perilous journey to find his missing wife, Kayal, after she is kidnapped by a notorious group in Azerbaijan. The project was officially announced in May 2023, along with the reveal of its title, Vidaamuyarchi, which translates to "Persistence" in English.
Principal photography commenced in October 2023, with the majority of filming taking place in Azerbaijan. The production team also shot a brief schedule in Thailand, wrapping up filming by late December 2024. The film's technical crew includes the talented Anirudh Ravichander, who has composed the music, Om Prakash, who has handled the cinematography, and N. B. Srikanth, who has taken care of the editing. Initially slated for release in January 2025, during the Pongal season, Vidaamuyarchi's release was postponed due to undisclosed reasons. The film is now scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on February 6, 2025.
