Vidaamuyarchi had grossed an incredible Rs 47.75 crore in India and had surpassed the Rs 100 crore global gross milestone within its three day run at the theatre. Ramesh Bala, entertainment industry tracker revealed that Ajith Kumar's Tamil movie has crossed the Rs 100 crore gross at the box office worldwide in three days.

Vidaamuyarchi broke the Rs 100 crore gross milestone, making a big impression on the global stage. Ajith Kumar's global power is evident from the numbers. A significant portion of the Rs 100 crore earned globally comes from North America.

Vidaamuyarchi is surpassing recent movies such as Badass Ravikumar (Rs 4.74 crore on 2 days) and Loveyapa (Rs 2.31 crore in 2 days). Additionally, its three-day total more nearly exceeds Thandel's opening-day gross (Rs 21.27 crore globally).

The American movie Breakdown from 1997 was remade in Tamil as Vidaamuyarchi. A man's quest to rescue his wife after she has been abducted by a deadly group in Azerbaijan is the subject of the suspenseful thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Vidaamuyarchi is not like other Ajith Kumar movies. In order to maintain the commercial wide appeal, the filmmakers also refocused on the tale of a regular man driven by love and willpower.
