The Virosh Wedding: Following their high-profile wedding in Udaipur, superstar couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have returned to Telangana to begin their new life with a touch of tradition and philanthropy. On Monday, March 2, 2026, the newlyweds visited Vijay’s hometown, Thummanapeta, to perform the Satyanarayana Vratam puja and a grihapravesam at their family home. However, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s unexpected announcement for local students that stole the show.

While interacting with a massive crowd of fans and locals who had gathered to welcome the couple home, Vijay Deverakonda announced a significant educational initiative. Through his charitable trust, the actor has launched a scholarship scheme specifically for Class IX and X students across 44 government schools in the Achampet Division of Telangana. As Vijay made the announcement, he was joined on stage by Rashmika Mandanna and his parents. 

Meanwhile, the visit to Thummanapeta was a deeply personal affair for the family. The couple performed traditional rituals to bless their new home, and Vijay promised the locals that his visits to the village would now be a regular occurrence. Social media has been flooded with clips of the event, with one fan notably commenting, “I wouldn’t be surprised if VD becomes CM in the next 30 years.” Another fan praised his character, simply calling him, “Hero in the true sense.”

Additionally, the Virosh couple also took to Instagramk today to share photos from their Sangeet night. Rashmika Mandanna shared a moving note alongside images of her dancing with her sister and Vijay’s brother, Anand. She wrote, “The night filled with love, tears of joy, laughter, music, singing, glitters and us dancing through the night. It was really the most fun night ever!! From Vijju and I wanting to surprise each other... to family wanting to surprise us... to being fully excited and surprised to see our families dance so freely and so so well!”She added, “The night Vijay and I danced as one, surrounded by the love of our families and friends!”

The couple's post-wedding celebrations are set to conclude with a star-studded, invitation-only reception in Hyderabad on March 4, which is expected to be attended by the biggest names in the Indian film industry.
