It's not often that one superstar can be seen praising another but Vijay Sethupathi has broken the stereotypical notion and appreciated Pawan Kalyan. The latter actor-turned-politician won a massive victory in Andhra Pradesh polls as his party JanaSena party has secured all 21 seats in State Assembly elections and 2 in Lok Sabha polls. Vijay said that he does not know Pawan personally but got to know about him through friends and social media. He called Pawan Kalyan a ‘mass hero’ not only in film but also in real life.
At a press meet in Hyderabad, Vijay said “I honestly don’t know anything about him, but there were many friends from the Telugu circle who shared content on social media through which I got to know about him.”
“He has proven that he is not just a mass hero in films but also as a person. It is all because of consistency. I asked people what the fuss is all about and they said what he has actually achieved. Despite all the trolling, he has made it,” Sethupathi added.

At the same event, he was also asked about working with younger heroines. Vijay said, “I have spoken about it already. I acted with Krithi Shetty in Uppenna in 2021, and later, a director told me let’s approach her for another film as a heroine. I said no because I had asked her to consider me as a dad during the climax sequence of Uppenna. So, I said no.”
“What if she had told me that she doesn’t want to act with me because ‘this man has asked me to consider him as dad’. She can say no also. I have answered this question earlier. Please leave it,” he concluded.
