Sai Dharam Tej-starrer 'Virupaksha' will soon release on the OTT platform after its successful theatrical run. The movie revolves around the mysterious deaths happening in a village due to an unknown person's occult practice. Meanwhile, Samyukhta Menon was seen opposite Sai Dharam Tej in this film.

According to a report by OTT Play, Netflix has bought the OTT rights of 'Virupaksha' for a huge amount and the movie will release on Netflix on May 21.

Directed by Karthik Dandu, the movie is produced by BVSN Prasad under the Banners of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. Meanwhile, the music of Virupaksha is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Apart from Sai Dharam Tej and Samyukhta, the movie also stars Sunil, Brahmaji and Rajeev Kanakala.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sai Dharam confirmed that 'Virupaksha' will return for a sequel. He said, "Once you see the film ending, you see a small snippet where we are showing the revelation to the second part. So we are in the plans, but not right now. Slowly. Because the standard of writing is very high; Of Virupaksha. So Virupaksha 2 has to match up to the standard or go up and be better. There is an idea and we are just waiting for the right time and the right story".

On the work front, Sai Dharam Tej will star in the film 'PKSDT' along with Pawan Kalyan. Meanwhile, Ketika Sharma and Priya Prakash Varrier will play pivotal roles in the film and it will be directed by Samuthirakani. It is the official remake of the Tamil film ‘Vinodaya Sitham’, which stars Thambi Ramaiah and Samuthirakani in the lead role.

Announcing the film on Instagram, Sai Dharam wrote, "THE BEST DAY, I would cherish forever. It's a dream come true to work with my Guru for life Kalyan mama. Grateful at this amazing opportunity & Can't wait for a big chunk of learning and memories."

He was last seen in 'Republic' with Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramya Krishna, and Jagapathi Babu. The movie revolves around an IAS officer who tackles the corruption in the political system.
