JE Entertainment Desk: R Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan-starrer 'Por Thozhil' has become one of the most successful Tamil crime thrillers of 2023. The movie has performed well at the box office apart from Tamil Nadu and has received appreciation for the stellar performance of the star cast. Fans are now waiting for the OTT release of 'Por Thozhil'.

1. 8 Thottakkal

Starring Vetri, Aparna Balamurali, Nassar and M. S. Bhaskar and Meera Mithun in the lead role, '8 Thottakkal' revolves around a depressed and loyal policeman who loses his gun to the killer. It is loosely inspired by the 1949 Japanese movie 'Stray Dog' and was remade in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. It is streaming on Zee5 and Hotstar.

2. Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu

Starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu' revolves around a police officer who tries to track down two serial killers. The movie also stars Jyothika, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Prakash Raj, Daniel Balaji, and Salim Baig in prominent roles. It is streaming on Zee5 and Prime Video.

3. Ratchasan

Directed by Ram Kumar, 'Ratchasan' stars Vishnu Vishal, Amala Paul, Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, and Ramdoss. The movie revolves around an aspiring film director who becomes a police officer and tries to track down a serial killer. It was remade in Hindi as 'Cuttputli', starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The movie is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

4. Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru

Starring Karthi, Rakul Preet Singh and Abhimanyu Singh in the lead roles, 'Theeran Adhyaayam Ondru' revolves around the evil activity of dacoits and how they are controlled by the Tamil Nadu Police squad. The movie is streaming on Aha, Hotstar, MX Player and Prime Video.

5. Yuddham Sei

Written and directed by Mysskin, Yuddham Sei stars Cheran, Dipa Shah, Y. G. Mahendra, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Jayaprakash, and Selva. It revolves around a police officer, who is forced to take up a case while on the lookout for his own sister who is missing. The movie is streaming on Hotstar and Zee5.
