The film is based on the story of a RAW agent Kabir (played by Hrithik) who is on a mission to save his country. He is joined by his student Khalid (played by Tiger Shroff) who joins him on his mission. Apart from Tiger and Hrithik, the star cast of 'War' includes Vaani Kapoor (Hrithik's love interest), Ashutosh Rana, Arif Zakaria and Soni Razdan.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix's 'Joker' entered Rs 50 crore club on Monday. The Todd Phillips directorial had made an opening day collection of over Rs 5 crore on October 2 after clashing with War and Sye Narasimha Rao. Among other films, Sye Raa Narasimha Rao starring Chiranjeevi minted nearly Rs 230 crore in worldwide box office collection. However, Shonali Bose's emotional drama 'The Sky is Pink' featuring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar failed to attract audiences on day 5 managing to earn just 1 crore.
