In 2006, the Indian film industry was abuzz with rumours of a romantic relationship between two of its most talented and beloved stars, Nagarjuna and Tabu. The whispers of their alleged affair spread like wildfire, captivating the attention of fans and media alike, and becoming the most talked-about topic in town at the time. The supposed relationship between the two South Indian cinema stalwarts was the subject of much speculation and curiosity, with many wondering if there was indeed truth to the reports. 

When Nagarjuna's Wife Broke Her Silence On Extra Marital Affair With Tabu

In a surprising turn of events, Nagarjuna's wife and actress Amala Akkineni, stepped forward to categorically deny all the rumours and speculations surrounding her husband's alleged relationship with Tabu. With her statement, the rumours were finally laid to rest, and the couple's marriage emerged stronger than ever, putting an end to the intense media scrutiny and public fascination with the alleged affair.

Amala said in a conversation with TOI, “Nothing will shake this belief. Nobody should bother what happens under my roof. I am happy. And before you ask whether my husband and I have discussed this – never. My home is sacred, like a temple and I don’t allow anything unpleasant from the film industry to come in, especially filthy gossip. I don’t encourage such talks. I feel it will contaminate my house.” 

She went on to state, “Tabu is one of the persons, besides Danny Denzongpa, my Rakhi brother, from Mumbai who I am in touch with. And, yes, she stays with us when she comes here.”

Tabu On Extra-Marital Affair With Nagarjuna

During an appearance on Karan Johar's popular chat show Koffee With Karan, Tabu was questioned about the long-standing rumours surrounding her relationship with Nagarjuna. With a hint of amusement and exasperation, Tabu acknowledged that this particular rumour had been a constant companion throughout her life, dating back to when she was just 16 years old. When Karan inquired about the speculation that she had relocated to Hyderabad due to Nagarjuna, Tabu set the record straight, explaining that her decision to move was actually driven by her desire to own a home in the city and connect with her roots, rather than any romantic involvement. She observed that while other rumoured relationships may come and go, the Nagarjuna story persists, with the media seemingly determined to perpetuate the narrative that he remains a permanent fixture in her life.
