Actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan is currently occupied with the filming of his next movie while also preparing for the forthcoming elections in India. However, recently, he became the subject of online discussion when a woman named Aparna Thakur claimed to be his second wife, alleging that they have a daughter together. She asserted that Ravi Kishan is refusing to acknowledge their daughter from her second marriage, both in social and public spheres. Standing alongside her daughter, Aparna spoke to reporters, emphasising her demand for both the women.

What is the controversy?

She claimed, "My name is Aparna, and my daughter is the daughter of MP and actor Ravi Kishan, whom he is not accepting." Residing in Lucknow, Aparna claims that she met Kishan in 1995 during his journalism pursuits. After a year of courtship, they reportedly married in 1996 in the presence of his entire family in Malad, Bombay, and have a grown daughter named Shenova. The spotlight on Thakur intensified when she convened a press conference in Lucknow, revealing startling details about her relationship with acclaimed Bhojpuri and Bollywood actor Ravi Kishan. During the press event, she alleged that despite their marriage, the actor-politician is not publicly acknowledging their marital status or their daughter Shenova.

She further said, "The reason for calling this press conference is I want my daughter who is also Ravi Kishan's daughter get her rights. I will approach the court as well over this. I want him to accept his daughter and give her the legal rights that she deserves."

What Aparna Thakur Claimed?

The woman emphasised that whenever Ravi is with them, he treats them as his wife and daughter. However, he does not acknowledge them socially or legally. She elaborated that despite their marriage being conducted according to Indian customs and Ravi applying sindoor in front of his family and friends, there is no official record of it.

Directly addressing the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Aparna implored for her daughter to be acknowledged and granted her rightful recognition and rights. She clarified that despite the gravity of her accusations, she had chosen not to involve the police. However, she affirmed her unwavering resolve to pursue justice for her daughter through legal channels. She also alleged that the actor remained in touch with them until last year. He used to maintain contact, meet them, and even made promises to resolve their situation. However, he has now ceased communication with them.
