The recent announcement of actor Yash reprising the role of Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated ‘Ramayana’ has stirred excitement among his fan base. However, amidst the buzz, speculations have emerged online regarding Yash potentially taking on the lead role in 'Jai Hanuman'. This sequel follows the Teja Sajja-led 'HanuMan,' which premiered in theaters in January 2024, helmed by acclaimed director Prasanth Varma. Now, a source from Yash’s team has confirmed that these reports are unfounded and inaccurate.
According to India Today report, a source said, "There is no truth to the reports, he is not considering any such role. Rocking Star Yash puts a lot of time and consideration into each film he chooses to do, and right now he is completely consumed with 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups'."
ICYDK 'Hanu-Man' emerged as one of the major successes of 2024. While the film remains a topic of discussion, it's widely known that Yash is currently focused on his upcoming project 'Toxic'. Scheduled for release on April 10, 2025, the film has garnered significant attention.
What's more for Yash?
Yash's latest appearance was in 'KGF: Chapter 2'. The actor is set to portray Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s rendition of Ramayana. Alongside Yash, Ranbir Kapoor is slated to portray the role of Ram, while Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita. Initially, there were discussions with Alia Bhatt for the role of Sita, but she had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts. Sunny Deol is reportedly confirmed for the role of Hanuman. Talks are underway with Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana, respectively. Moreover, there have been reports suggesting that Amitabh Bachchan might portray Dashrath in the film.
Talking about 'Toxic', the actor, who has consistently served as a creative producer for all his projects, has expanded his role to co-producer for the film. Alongside KVN Productions, Yash will be releasing this film under his banner Monster Mind Creations. Anticipated to be a grand-scale production, 'Toxic' has already generated significant interest with its announcement video. Presently, the Rocking Star is fully engrossed in the development of this project and has yet to finalise his involvement in multiple other ventures.
