BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently appeared on Zip Daesung, a variety show hosted by BIGBANG’s Daesung, where her candid remarks about the group’s activities sparked mixed reactions among fans. As the members continue focusing on their solo careers, Lisa’s words reignited concerns over YG Entertainment’s approach to BLACKPINK’s group promotions and their absence from entertainment programs.

During the show, Daesung shared his enthusiasm about having BLACKPINK appear as a full group, noting that two members had already been guests. Hoping to see all four together in a future episode, he asked Lisa whether the group would continue avoiding variety show appearances or if they might consider joining one.

Lisa’s response was honest but disappointing to many fans. She acknowledged that "BLACKPINK rarely appears on shows" and, when asked further, admitted, "I don’t think we will. But if it’s just one, it’d probably be a music show." Though she jokingly mentioned discussing it with her fellow members, her words reinforced what many fans have felt for years—BLACKPINK's minimal group promotions and rare public appearances.

Her remarks quickly went viral on social media, with fans expressing their frustration over BLACKPINK’s lack of participation in interviews, music shows, and variety programs. Compared to other top Kpop groups that maintain a strong public presence, BLACKPINK’s promotional activities as a group have been noticeably limited, leading fans to question YG Entertainment’s management strategy.

Following Lisa’s comments, many took to social media to voice their disappointment, pointing fingers at YG Entertainment for failing to balance the members’ solo projects with their group activities. While Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé have successfully launched their individual ventures, fans believe that BLACKPINK should still be actively promoted as a group rather than fading from the entertainment scene.

Adding to the discussion, YG Entertainment recently announced BLACKPINK’s world tour, set to begin in July 2025. While fans were initially excited, scepticism soon followed. Many questioned why a tour was being planned without any clear updates on new music or promotional activities. The lack of detailed information left fans feeling that YG Entertainment was prioritizing concerts over properly supporting BLACKPINK’s comeback and visibility.
