With support from the Bilaspur police, the District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department conducted a large-scale demolition drive against illegal constructions in the restricted belt of NH-48, Gurugram, on Monday.
The operation, which lasted from morning until late evening, saw the demolition of multiple unauthorised structures, including dhabas, hotels, labour quarters, and a banquet hall.

The drive began in Bhodakalan village, where two illegal dhabas, including the Khushal Family Hotel, were torn down. In Sidhrawali village, Shri Shyam Family Dhaba, Shri Sawariya Dhaba, Dream Hut Family Restaurant, and around 50 tin-shed labour quarters were demolished. A building under construction was also razed at the DPC level.
The most notable action was taken on the premises of the Fortune Hotel, where an illegally constructed banquet hall/party hall was completely demolished.

DTPE Amit Madholia said that illegal construction on or near NH-48 will not be tolerated. The department is maintaining strict vigilance and will take immediate bulldozer action wherever violations are found.
