Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPN) is taking a major step towards improving the electricity supply at its substation in Sector 46. A 25/31 MVA transformer has been installed at the substation.

Previously, a 16/20 MVA transformer was in place, which often became overloaded during the summer due to increased load. The Corporation has now installed the new 25/31 MVA transformer. All procedures have been completed, and the transformer is expected to be operational by Tuesday.

The installation of the new transformer will directly benefit consumers in Sectors 46, 47, and 38. In these areas, the increased use of air conditioners and other electrical appliances during the summer season leads to a rise in electricity demand, causing problems such as voltage drops, tripping, and power cuts.

Residents of several societies and sectors on Sohna Road have been facing this problem for a long time. The Corporation claims that this upgrade will not only increase the load capacity but will also improve power distribution, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted electricity supply.
