Agniveer Reservation: After the announcement of Agniveer Reservation in Odisha by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled states in the country, the Odisha government has also announced a 10 per cent reservation for Agniveers in all uniformed services. Making this announcement, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the state government will provide 10 per cent reservation to Agniveers in all uniformed services in Odisha.

The Odisha government will be given 10 per cent reservation for appointment in all uniform services of the state. Along with this, they will be given five years relaxation in the age limit for appointment.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has said that all the soldiers joining the Indian Army are our pride and glory. This scheme of the Central Government is helpful in making the youth of the country competent, courageous and capable. This scheme is playing a very important role for the youth who accept challenges in every field of life.”

This comes days after Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a similar announcement for preferences in various positions in state departments.

Dhami announced on Sunday that Agniveers from the state who complete their service will be offered positions in various state departments, along with established provisions for their reservation.
