An Akasa flight from Pune to Delhi landed safely in the national capital after being hit by bird on Friday. While providing details, an aircraft spokesperson assured that all the passengers and crew members were safe. The spokesperson further stated that the plane will be released for service after a detailed inspection by the engineering team. According to the flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, the aircraft landed in Delhi little past 10 am on Friday.
"Akasa Air flight QP 1607 flying from Pune to Delhi on 10th October 2025 experienced a bird hit. The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew members were deplaned," the spokesperson was quoted as saying by PTI. While the details of the passengers were not disclosed, the aircraft assured that all of them were deplaned safely.
The flight that suffered the bird hit was scheduled to operate the flight from Delhi to Goa. However, this service was delayed by a few hours as another plane was deployed for the route, reported PTI, citing sources.
Earlier on October 10, a Durgapur-Mumbai Indigo flight made an emergency landing in Raipur after a cancer patient died in the air on Thursday. the patient from Burdwan, West Bengal, was travelling to Mumbai for treatment on the Indigo flight on Thursday night. He fell unconscious from his seat, prompting an emergency landing at Raipur airport at midnight.
The youth, who fainted on the flight, was taken to a local hospital, but was declared brought-dead the hospital. According to information received from the airport, Gautam Bauri, a resident of Burdwan was on board the Indigo flight from Durgapur to Mumbai. He was suffering from blood cancer. He was on his way to Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai for treatment when he collapsed.
