Ambala Court Firing: Tension gripped the Ambala court premises after gunshots were fired, creating chaos on Saturday. The attack targeted an accused who had arrived for a hearing. According to initial reports, the attackers, arriving in a black car, fired two rounds before fleeing the scene.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ambala) Rajat Gulia, the attack was likely motivated by a personal dispute. The assailants are believed to have targeted someone involved in a legal matter. However, no one was injured during the incident.

Eyewitness Ranjeet, a private watchman stationed at the court's entrance, described the frightening scene. He saw two young men exit the SUV, armed with pistols. Despite his efforts to intervene, the assailants fired three shots and made a swift escape.

The police have confirmed that Aman Sonkar, an accused from Khatik Mandi in Ambala Cantonment, was the intended target. Aman was present in the court complex to provide a witness statement in an ongoing case. As he approached the court gate, the shooters opened fire, suggesting a possible old rivalry.

The Times Of India report quoted Ripanjit Singh, secretary of the Ambala Bar Association, as stating that it is the first of its kind to occur within the court complex. He urged authorities to enhance security measures, saying, "If a person is not safe inside the court, what will happen outside? This incident has instilled fear among advocates."
