Anantnag Encounter Day 7: A missing soldier was found dead in Jammu and Kashmir as the encounter enters its seventh day in Anantnag district. The body of the brave heart was recovered on Monday evening. This takes the toll to five after two Army officers, a police officer, and another soldier were killed in the ongoing operation.

Sepoy Pradeep Singh of the Sikh Light Infantry was a member of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles. The 27-year-old soldier, who had served in the Army for seven years, was from Punjab's Patiala and is survived by his wife.

Singh had been reported missing since September 13, when three officers were killed during a search operation based on intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area: Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Aashish Dhonchak, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Himayun Muzamil Bhat.
