Jammu And Kashmir: An Army vehicle on patrol was attacked by terrorists in the Sunderbani area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, February 26. The incident occurred at around 1 pm in the forest area near Phal village along Sunderbani Malla Road, a known infiltration route for terrorists. The terrorists, believed to be hiding in a dense forest, fired multiple rounds at the army vehicle.
Troops immediately retaliated, and additional reinforcements were deployed to track down the attackers, officials added. No casualties have been reported so far.The army has launched a massive cordon and search operation in the region to neutralize the threat and secure the area.

Pakistani Intruder Shot Dead In Punjab
In another update, a Pakistani intruder was shot dead early Wednesday morning by BSF troops along the international border at Pathankot in Punjab, officials told news agency PTI.
Border Security Force (BSF) personnel noticed some suspicious movement in the Border Outpost Tashpatan area along the international border. Despite being challenged by the BSF troops, the intruder did not stop after crossing over onto the Indian side of the border.
The officials quoted in the PTI report said that the intruder was subsequently shot dead and his identity is being ascertained. The BSF troops guards the India-Pakistan international border, including a 553-km stretch in Punjab.
