Bypoll Results 2024 LIVE: INDIA Bloc Wins 10 Seats; BJP Secures 2 In Bye Elections Across 7 States

INDIA bloc secured 10 seats, BJP managed to win two while one Independent candidate registered victory in the assembly by-elections held on July 10.,

Congress candidates Lakhapat Singh Butola and Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin won Uttarakhand's Manglaur and Badrinath assembly seats in the recently held by-elections.

The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) registered victory in all four assembly constituencies, where bypolls were held on July 10. TMC candidates Krishna Kalyani, Mukut Mani Adhikari, Madhuparna Thakur and Supti Pandey secured victory with huge vote margin in Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, Bagda and Maniktala, respectively.

BJP candidate Ashish Sharma won the Hamirpur by-election with a victory margin of 1,571 votes. Ashish Sharma defeated Congress candidate Puspinder Verma who secured 25,470 votes.

Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur secured victory in Himachal Pradesh’s Dehra assembly constituency, defeating BJP candidate Hoshyar Singh with over 9,000 seats in July 10 by-elections. 

Independent candidate Shankar Singh won the Rupali Assembly seat in Bihar, securing 68,070 votes against JDU candidate Kaladhar Prasad Mandal who gained 59,824 votes in the bypolls held on July 10.   ,

The Manglour legislative assembly seat witnessed a high-voltage contest between Congress Candidate Qazi Nizamuddin and BJP's Kartar Singh Bhadana. Though Nizamuddin emerged victorious after 10 rounds of vote counting, a re-counting has begun on BJP's insistence.

Congress' Hardeep Singh Bawa defeated his nearest rival and BJP candidate K L Thakur in the bypoll to the Nalagarh assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh by 8,990 votes, officials said on Saturday. Bawa, a five-time president of the Indian National Trade Union Congress' Himachal Pradesh unit, polled 34,608 votes.

BJP's Ashish Sharma won the bypolls to the Hamirpur assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh by defeating his rival and Congress candidate Pushpender Verma by a margin of 1,571 votes. 

Out of 13 Assembly seats, Congress won two seats, leading on two. TMC won 3 seats, leading on 1 seat. AAP won the Jalandhar West seat in Punjab. BJP won one seat, leading on 1 seat, DMK leading on one seat. Independent candidate Shankar Singh leading on Rupauli seat of Bihar.

INDIA bloc secures four seats and is leading in seven seats. The counting of votes is underway. 

TMC won Raiganj and Bagda assembly seats and secured an unassailable lead in two other constituencies in West Bengal bypolls. Trinamool Congress candidates Krishna Kalyani and Madhuparna Thakur won Raiganj and Bagda respectively, while Mukut Mani Adhikari and Supti Pandey were leading in Ranaghat Dakshin and Maniktala.

"The AAP MP who won the seat previously, joined BJP. The AAP MLA who won the seat also joined the BJP. I feel sorry for both of them... People felt betrayed by their decision, so they gave a befitting reply... This also proves the trust of the people of Punjab in CM Bhagwant Mann and his governance... BJP can keep Arvind Kejriwal in jail but they don't know his roots run deep. He cannot be easily defeated... BJP's main focus is on poaching leaders from other parties and sending them to jails. They are not focussed on their work," AAP MP Sandeep Pathak said.

On TMC won 2 seats and leading on 2 seats in Assembly bypolls, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh says, "...This was bound to happen. Some people who had voted for BJP in Lok Sabha, have realised that they will not waste their votes...The game has started. Modi government in Delhi will not stay for a long time. INDIA alliance will form the government and the role of TMC in it will be very significant.,

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu’s wife and Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur won the Dehra Assembly seat with a margin of 9,393 votes by defeating BJP candidate and two-time former MLA Hoshyar Singh Chambyal.

AAP wins JaLandhar West seat of Punjab. Out of 12 Assembly seats, Congress is leading on 5 seats, TMC is leading on 4 seats, and BJP and DMK leading on one seat each. Independent candidate Shankar Singh leading on the Rupauli seat of Bihar. 

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Candidate Mohinder Bhagat is leading on the Jalandhar West seat of Punjab while BJP's Sheetal Angural. As per the ECI's latest trends, Bhagat is leading with 37,325 votes. 

 "... A candidate who left AAP and joined BJP to contest from the constituency is now in the third position and AAP candidate is leading. People have faith in the AAP government in Punjab and they like what CM Bhagwant Mann is doing for them," says Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj as AAP candidate is leading on Jalandhar West Assembly constituency.

On AAP leading on Jalandhar West Assembly seat, Punjab Minister and AAP leader, Harbhajan Singh ETO says, "I would like to thank the people of Jalandhar West who have shown their faith in Aam Aadmi Party, have shown their trust in the policies of Aam Aadmi Party..."

Out of 13 Assembly seats, Congress is leading on 5 seats, TMC is leading on 4 seats, BJP, DMK, AAP and JDU are leading on one seat each. Congress is leading in the Dehra and Nalagarh seats of Himachal Pradesh, as well as in the Badrinath and Manglaur seats of Uttarakhand and the Awarwara seats of Madhya Pradesh.

In West Bengal, the TMC is leading in the Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, Bagda, and Maniktala seats. The AAP is ahead in the Jalandhar West seat of Punjab, while the JDU is leading in Bihar's Rupauli seat. The BJP is leading in the Hamirpur seat of Himachal Pradesh, and the DMK is leading in the Vikravandi seat of Tamil Nadu.

As the counting of the bypoll in Hill State is underway, Congress workers celebrated on Saturday after Himachal CM Sukhvinder Sukhu's wife took the lead in the Dehra Assembly after six rounds of counting.,

Congress is leading in Dehra, Hamirpur, and Nalagarh seats in Himachal Pradesh, as well as in Badrinath and Manglaur seats in Uttarakhand. The counting of votes for the bypolls in 13 assembly constituencies across seven states began today. Voting in Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh was held on July 10.
