"Tomorrow we will hold the first CWC (Congress Working Committee meeting) in Hyderabad in which upcoming election preparations will be discussed...We are very sure that we are going to form government in five states including Telangana," Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said on Friday.

He also said that Telangana's ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is supporting "anti-democratic laws" in the Parliament. "Certainly we had past experience. Our fight is with PM Narendra Modi. Our principal enemy in politics is the BJP and their ideology. They (BRS) support anti-democratic laws in the Parliament," Venugopal said during a press conference in Rangareddy.

Launching a scathing attack against the K Chandrashekhar Rao-led party, Venugopal said, "KCR's party is supporting the BJP, they are actually against the people. They are anti-democratic."

The two-day meeting starting on Saturday will be followed by a mega rally of the Congress party in Hyderabad on Monday.

The grand old party is also expected to announce a slew of welfare schemes as part of its manifesto for Telangana. "We will announce six guarantees for the people of Telangana. We hope that when the elections come, the party will get a clear mandate from the people," Congress MP Jairam Ramesh stated.

The CWC was reconstituted by Kharge last month. Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi and party MP Rahul Gandhi, who are members of the all-important decision-making panel, will also attend the meeting in Hyderabad.
