Atul Subhash Suicide Case: The investigation into the Atul Subhash suicide case is ongoing. Based on a complaint filed by Atul's brother, Vikas, Bengaluru police have arrested Atul's wife, Nikita Singhania, his mother-in-law, Nisha, and his brother-in-law, Anurag. However, Atul's father, Pawan, is now deeply concerned about the welfare of his four-year-old grandson. To secure custody of the child, Pawan has written to various authorities, including the President of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking protection for his grandson.

According to Bengaluru Police Inspector and investigating officer Gyana Deva, along with Jaunpur Inspector Rajneesh Kumar, Nikita—currently in judicial custody has stated that the child is enrolled in a boarding school in Faridabad. For now, a relative is reportedly taking care of him.

Nikita's Uncle Denies Knowledge of the Child's Whereabouts

Meanwhile, Sushil Singhania, Nikita’s uncle and another accused in the case, has denied any knowledge of the child's location. He dismissed claims published in a newspaper that suggested the child was with him, labelling the report as entirely false. Sushil asserted that he does not even know the child’s name and expressed no interest in whether the child remains with his grandparents or elsewhere.

How Nikita Was Arrested?

Nikita was caught due to a mistake of making a phone call. After an FIR was registered in Bengaluru accusing her of filing a false case and abetting her late husband Atul’s suicide, Nikita was constantly on the move to evade arrest. Her mother, Nisha, and brother, Anurag, were reportedly hiding in a hotel in Jhunsi, Prayagraj. To maintain their secrecy, they used WhatsApp calls to communicate. However, Nikita inadvertently called a relative, which allowed Bengaluru Police to track her location to Rail Vihar PG in Gurugram, where she was arrested.

Following Nikita’s arrest, the police used her phone to contact her mother. When Nisha answered the call, the police traced her location to Prayagraj and promptly arrested her.

Anticipatory Bail For Nikita’s Uncle

In the widely publicised Atul Subhash suicide case, the Allahabad High Court recently granted anticipatory bail to Nikita’s uncle, Sushil Singhania. Anticipatory bail serves as a safeguard for individuals who face false accusations or charges. Furthermore, Justice Ashutosh Srivastava issued the order on Monday after hearing the plea filed by Sushil and other accused parties in the case.

During the hearing, senior advocate Manish Tiwari argued on behalf of the petitioners, stating that Nikita, her mother Nisha, and her brother Anurag had already been arrested by Bengaluru Police, saying that their anticipatory bail applications are irrelevant. The plea for anticipatory bail was limited to Sushil Singhania.
