Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday warned the BJP leaders to refrain from making unnecessary comments on every issue, several media houses reported based on sources. The prime minister issued the stern warning during the meeting of the NDA Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers.
This comes after multiple controversial comments by the BJP leaders made headlines in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. BJP is currently facing the heat with an objectionable comment by Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah.
Shah commented on the religious identity of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, who emerged as the face of the armed forces during the press briefings, to target Pakistan. The Supreme Court rejected his apology and ordered an SIT probe.
More recently, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra made objectionable comments on the women who lost their husbands in the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

He said that the women lost their husbands and became victims because they lacked heroic qualities, enthusiasm, and zeal.
"The women who lost their husbands lacked the warrior spirit, enthusiasm and zeal... Terrorists do not spare anyone because they fold their hands. Our people died with folded hands... Had the tourists passed the (Agniveer) training, three terrorists could not have killed 26 people."
In the NDA CM Conclave, resolutions were also passed praising the armed forces for conducting Operation Sindoor and supporting the caste census.
The session was led by the prime minister and was attended by several union ministers and over 20 Chief Ministers and 18 Deputy Chief Ministers.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that two resolutions were passed in the conclave.
BJP National President JP Nadda addressed a press conference after the NDA meeting, highlighting Operation Sindoor's success in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack. He mentioned that multiple leaders praised the operation, commending the armed forces' bravery.
