Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri called Prime Minister Narendra Modi "the biggest Kar Sevak" on Monday as the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony took place at the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

"This day will be written in golden letters in our history...it took 500 years for Lord Ram to come back to his birthplace...The biggest kar sevak is honourable PM Modi, I bow my head in reverence," Puri stated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after the Pran Pratistha ceremony, said that the construction of the Ram temple is also a symbol of peace, patience, mutual harmony, and coordination of the Indian society. 

"There was also a time when some people used to say 'Ram Mandir bana toh aag lag jaegi'...Such people could not understand the purity of India's social spirit. The construction of this temple of Ram Lalla is also a symbol of peace, patience, mutual harmony and coordination of the Indian society. We are seeing that this construction is not giving birth to any fire, but to energy," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed a gathering in Ayodhya following the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple and said, “In that period, the separation lasted only for 14 years...In this era, Ayodhya and the countrymen have endured hundreds of years of separation. Following the grand consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologised to Lord Ram and said, “There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Hitting out at opposition leaders for declining the invitation to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam said, "This is unfortunate. Ayodhya Ram Temple Construction Committee chief, Nripendra Mishra on Sunday said that the work to build the entire Ram Temple will start on January 23, a day after the consecration ceremony.
