Ayushman Bharat Card: Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive an Ayushman Card, which provides free medical treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh. The scheme was launched in 2018 with the aim of making quality healthcare accessible to all.
If you are planning to avail treatment using your Ayushman Card, you should first understand the situations and medical cases in which insurance coverage cannot be claimed.
Treatments Not Covered Under Ayushman Card
-A disease which can be treated in OPD.
-Private OPD is also not included in the insurance cover.
-If you go to the hospital only for tests, it is not covered.
-If you go for tests after seeing a doctor, then it is covered under insurance.

What Are Benefits Of Ayushman Card?
-This scheme covers 3 days of pre-hospitalisation and 15 days of post-hospitalisation.
-All tests are covered under this scheme.
-The expenditure on medicines has also been included.
-Food and drinks during the recruitment will also be covered under the insurance.
-Some limits have also been kept regarding eligibility.

Who Can’t Avail Benefit Of Ayushman Card?
The Ayushman card was launched specifically for the poor and needy. Those who work in the organised sector or pay their taxes on time will not be able to take advantage of it.
Additionally, if you are a recipient of ESIC benefits or have PF deducted from your salary, you will not be able to avail the scheme's benefits. Government employees will also be barred from using this card.
