Badarpur Toll Fees Hike: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has updated the toll charges, and the new rates will come into effect from midnight on August 31. Starting September 1, crossing the Sarai toll plaza on the Delhi-Mathura Highway near Faridabad will become costlier.
While the toll fees for cars, vans, and jeeps making a single trip through the toll remain unchanged, frequent travelers will notice an increase as an extra charge of one rupee will be added for multiple crossings. According to Jagran.com, both light commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles will face higher toll rates, whether they cross once or multiple times.
The Sarai toll booth is situated on the district boundary, which shares its border with Delhi. To connect Faridabad with the capital, the Badarpur flyover has been constructed, and toll fees are collected at Sarai for vehicles passing through.
Each year in September, the toll management reviews and revises these rates. Unlike last year when the toll charges stayed the same, this year the rates have been updated. According to NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh, “The toll tax rates have been revised. It will be implemented from September 1.”
