Bengaluru News: In yet another case of sexual abuse against women, a doctor in Bengaluru exploited a woman patient in the name of medical examination. A 21-year-old woman accused a 56-year-old dermatologist of sexually harassing her under the pretext of a medical examination.

The victim would often visit the clinic with her father, but the doctor took advantage of the situation when her father could not accompany the victim this time.

The disturbing incident occurred at a dermatologist's private clinic in Bengaluru on Saturday evening. The doctor, Praveen, has been taken into judicial custody following the incident.

According to the complainant, the woman was at the clinic for a follow-up consultation when the shocking event took place.

Here's What Happened With 21-Year-Old

-According to the woman, the doctor inappropriately touched her and persisted in harassing her for almost 30 minutes. She claimed that he repeatedly hugged and kissed her, making indecent proposals despite her protests.

-The dermatologist kept on touching her inappropriately on the pretext of examining her skin infection.

-The woman further alleged that the doctor forced her to undress, claiming that it was part of the medical examination. He even suggested booking a hotel room to spend time together privately.

-After the woman informed her family about the incident, her family, along with residents, protested outside the clinic and demanded appropriate action.

-The police detained the doctor after arriving at the scene, but he denied the allegations, claiming his actions were misinterpreted.

-A case has been registered under sections 75 and the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Praveen has been remanded in judicial custody
