Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced that several regions of Bengaluru will witness power cuts on Saturday and Sunday due to the maintenance work. The authority stated that while some of the regions will face power outages for five hours between 10 am and 3 pm, the other regions will witness power cuts till 3.30 pm. It further stated that the power will be restored once the maintenance work is finished, further advising the residents to plan their day accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. The KPTCL has conducted maintenance work in several regions of the capital city in the past few weeks, leading to the power outages.

-Air Force Jalahalli West

-Vaishnavi Nakashtra Apartments

-KSRTC Bus Stand

-Gati Road

-Krishna Fabrications

-Gemini Industries

-Wipro Wellcast Factory

Apart from this, the authority also announced that maintenance works will be conducted in the Narasapurra branch of the Bevikam Kolar rural substation from 10 am to 3 pm on January 10.

Earlier on January 8, several regions of the capital city Bengaluru, including IT parks and commercial areas, Attibele, Anekal, Chandapura, Manchanahalli, Mayasandra, Kombilipura, and Harohalli, VBHC Apartments, and nearby localities witnessed power outages due to the maintenance works. The BESCOM has stated that the works are likely to continue for the next few weeks, leading to inconveniences to the residents.

In separate news, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that Bengaluru is likely to witness a drop in temperature in the upcoming days.
