Bengaluru Traffic Police has announced that vehicle movement along Cubbon Road, from Main Guard Cross Road to Dispensary Road, will be closed for a month starting Sunday, February 2. This restriction is being implemented to facilitate white topping work by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) within the Shivajinagar Traffic Police station limits.

"In view of White topping work by BBMP in the limits of Shivajinagar Traffic police station, at Cubbon road Main Guard Cross Road to Dispensary Road all types vehicular movement is prohibit for 30 days starting from 02.02.2025. In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic. In addition following traffic restrictions are being imposed," the press note read.

Restricted routes:

Vehicle movement from Safina Plaza Junction to Commercial Street via Infantry Road is restricted. Additionally, vehicles are also restricted from Safina Plaza Junction to Commercial Street via Cubbon Road and Main Guard Cross Road.

Diversions:

Vehicles heading towards Commercial Street from Infantry Road and Safina Plaza can take a right turn at Infantry Road and Lady Curzon Junction, then a left turn onto Lady Curzon Road. From there, they should take another left turn onto Cubbon Road, continue to the KR Road and Cubbon Road junction, and then take a final left onto Kamaraja Road to reach Commercial Street.

Similarly, vehicles heading towards Commercial Street from Safina Plaza Junction via Cubbon Road and Main Guard Cross Road can proceed along Cubbon Road, take a left turn at the KR Road and Cubbon Road junction, and continue towards Commercial Street via Kamaraja Road.
