Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: In the wake of the construction of a road underbridge in western Bengaluru, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the closure of a key road link for nine months. The closure is required for the construction of a Road Under Bridge (RUB) to replace the existing Level Crossing No. 16.
The road linking Dodda Alada Mara Road from Bengaluru–Mysuru Road (near Ramohalli Railway Gate No. 16), between Kengeri and Hejjala railway stations, will be completely shut for vehicular traffic starting Sunday.
As per the South Western Railway, the work is aimed at improving road safety, the traffic movement in the region and alleviating frequent traffic congestion due to the current level crossing.
The South Western Railway has urged commuters heading towards Ramohalli and the famous Big Banyan Tree (Dodda Alada Mara) to plan their journeys accordingly.
