Bengaluru Traffic: Arrangements have been made in view of the ongoing cable work by BMRCL and BESCOM on the Service Road from IBIS Hotel to Devarabisanahalli Junction on Outer Ring Road. These changes will be in effect from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am daily, starting from August 3 until August 13. During this period, vehicular movement will be restricted on the Service Road between IBIS Hotel and Devarabisanahalli Junction.
One accessible route is via the overbridge at Devarabisanahalli. The public is urged to cooperate with these temporary traffic arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction work.

Following several fatal accidents on the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) road caused by reckless driving, negligence, and speeding, a speed limit has been fixed in the interest of the safety of road users, police said on Friday. According to Bengaluru Traffic Police, the speed limit for passenger vehicles with up to eight seats, excluding the driver's seat (M1 category vehicles), is now set at 120 km/h. For vehicles with nine or more seats, the speed limit is 100 km/h. Motorcycles and goods vehicles are restricted to a speed of 80 km/h.

Apart from this, the police have imposed a ban on using two wheelers from 10 pm to 5 am on NICE Road on all days, they said, adding that these restrictions will come into force on August 2.
The Traffic Police have announced new restrictions on the movement of heavy goods vehicles in the city to ensure smoother traffic flow. According to a press note issued on August 2, 2024, heavy goods vehicles will be prohibited from operating on all days of the week during specific hours.
From Monday to Friday, heavy goods vehicles will not be allowed on the roads from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and again from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Additionally, starting this Saturday, the restrictions will be extended to include Saturdays, during which heavy goods vehicles will be banned from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
