Bengaluru News: A video showing a confrontation between an auto driver and a couple in Bengaluru has gone viral, sparking strong reactions on social media. The clip, widely shared on X, shows a heated argument that reportedly began over a disagreement about the drop location.

In the video, the man, speaking in Hindi, is seen verbally abusing the auto driver and threatening him, saying he would “hit him naked.” When he notices that the driver is recording the incident, he tries to snatch the phone from his hand. The auto driver, however, calmly responds, “Wait, I will not talk now. Let the police come,” and alleges that the man had kicked his newly purchased auto.

The incident was later confirmed by the Hulimavu Police, who posted an update on X stating that both parties were summoned to the station for an inquiry. Following the investigation, an NCR (Non-Cognisable Report) was registered.

According to the police report, the couple had booked an auto ride from BTM Layout to their home. The dispute began when the driver asked them to get off before the actual drop-off point, which the passengers refused, insisting they would not pay unless taken closer to their destination. When the driver finally stopped near the location, he allegedly made remarks against them for being migrants and used threatening language.

The video quickly went viral, generating widespread outrage among local residents. Many users criticised the man’s behaviour, calling it disrespectful towards the driver. One user commented, “You can clearly see from the video who is the aggressive one — but the poor auto driver spoke only Kannada.”

Another wrote, “The auto driver was polite, but this man behaved arrogantly and even tried to hit him. @BlrCityPolice should take strict action against such migrants.” Several others praised the auto driver’s patience and composure, with one user writing, “He should be taught a lesson. The auto driver was too patient.”
