In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old BTech student died by suicide in Bhopal’s Rama Nagar allegedly due to some conflicts with the relatives. The officials stated that the deceased took his life after his cousin refused to return him Rs 80 thousand, which the deceased had given to the accused without seeking approval from his father.
While providing details, the officials stated that the deceased is identified as Satyam Dwivedi, and he was a first-year engineering student at a private college. The police also found a suicide note in the deceased's room and later seized it. The police stated that the deceased had mentioned his relative and the monetary help in his suicide letter.
The deceased addressed a person named Adarsh Dwivedi (reportedly his relative) and asked him why he was not returning the money under the deadline. “Return my family’s money. You promised to return it by Wednesday, but you didn’t. I helped you. Even your uncle assured me that the money would be returned soon. Why are you not returning it now?” the letter stated.
Satyam's elder brother, Shivam Dwivedi, stated that Adarsh is a distant relative and had borrowed Rs 80 thousand from Satyam a few months back when he was in need. He also promised to return the money in a few days, but he did not return it even after several months. Adarsh had denied returning the money and also threatened the deceased when he sought his money back.
