Bhopal Metro: Impact Of Revised Schedule On Passengers
The revised schedule, introduced on Tuesday, had a visible impact from the very next day. On Wednesday, the first day of implementation, the metro recorded 434 passengers across 13 services, marking a sharp decline from the earlier daily average.
“The timetable was revised after evaluating ridership patterns, to align services with actual commuter demand,” an official from the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited said, as quoted by The Times of India.
The Orange Line was inaugurated on December 20, marking Bhopal’s entry into India’s expanding Metro network. The priority corridor spans approximately seven kilometres and includes eight operational stations.
