Bihar Shocker: A wedding night in Bihar’s Buxar district turned into horror when an bride was shot at point-blank range by her jilted lover during a ritual on stage. The accused, identified as Deenbandhu, a neighbour of the 18-year-old bride Aarti Kumari, shot her in full view of guests before fleeing, leaving the ceremony in chaos.
The incident which happened on Tuesday night, when Aarti Kumari was on stage with her to-be husband. In the video Aarti's sister was seen putting vermillion (teeka) on her brother-in-law's forehead. After this, the woman turns to Aarti to complete the ritual. Following this, Deenbandhu suddenly emerges from the crowd and shoots Aarti.

Aarti Shot In The Stomach
The bullet hit Aarti in the stomach, near her navel, sending the venue into chaos as some guests rushed to support her, while others screamed and fled in panic.
Following the incident, Aarti was taken to a nearby Sadar Hospital for emergency treatment. However, doctors referred her to the Varanasi Trauma Centre for further treatment, where she remains in critical condition.
As per police, quoted by an NDTV report, the firing took place at around 11 pm on Tuesday night. Residents in the area believe the attack may have stemmed from a suspected love affair. Meanwhile, the accused Deenbandhu, is absconding and authorities have detained his parents for questioning as part of the investigation.
As per the report, Additional Station House Officer Chandan Kumar stated that the accused had earlier been sent to jail in connection with a liquor case. Police teams are currently carrying out raids at multiple locations to arrest him.
Meanwhile, the wedding procession, which had arrived from Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, left for home shortly after the shooting incident.
