Bihar Darbhanga Election Result 2025 Live Updates: The counting of votes began at 8 am today. As per the early trends by 11 am, BJP candidate Sanjay Saraogi is leading with a comfortable margin of over 8,000 votes. Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) candidate Umesh Sahani is trailing in second place. Pushpam Priya, who launched her new outfit, The Plurals Party, in 2020, has garnered over 400 votes, below the NOTA votes on the Darbhanga seat.

Darbhanga is one of the most important seats in North Bihar and is also referred to as the Gateway to Bengal. Darbhanga has been a stronghold of the BJP since 2005, with BJP leader Sanjay Saraogi winning the seat for four consecutive terms. Sanjay Saraogi is seeking his fifth term on the Darbhanga seat. From the INDIA Bloc, Mukesh Sahani-led VIP got the Darbhanga seat in the seat-sharing agreement. However, VIP candidate Umesh Sahani is trailing by over 11,000 votes after 9 rounds of counting.

    Jan Suraaj candidate Rakesh Kumar Mishra is trailing in third place, while The Plurals Party candidate Pushpam Priya has so far managed to get only over 700 votes. She is behind the NOTA votes at 863.
