Bharat Gaurav Train: The railways will operate the Bharat Gaurav Special Train for the pilgrims of Bihar to the major religious sites of the southern states. The authority stated that the train will depart from Saharsa on December 5 and will travel through several key stations to famous pilgrimage sites in South India. The railway stated that the train will provide an opportunity to explore the culture of the southern states to the residents of several districts, including Samastipur, Saharsa, Patna, and Jehanabad. The authority has advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel to avoid inconveniences.

While providing details, the IRCTC DGM Rajesh Kumar stated that this train will pass through multiple stations, including Saharsa, Supaul, Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, and Patliputra. He further stated that the pilgrimage will begin on December 5 and will conclude on December 17, adding that the devotees will also be given special discounts on group reservations. Kumar asserted that the devotees will be able to visit Tirupati, Rameswaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and the Mallikarjuna Temple.

The railway announced that the travel fare has been divided into three categories, ensuring that devotees of different economy groups can travel.

- Rs 25,620 per passenger for the budget class (sleeper class)

- Rs 35,440 for the standard class

- Rs 49,175 for the comfort class

The authority also stated that overnight accommodations will be provided to the passengers, adding that vegetarian meals, morning and evening tea, and bus service for local sightseeing will also be provided. The railway announced the launch of similar trains for Bihar residents in the upcoming months. Apart from this, several festival special trains have been launched from different key cities of the country.
