BJP Leader Chhattisgarh Death: Days ahead of the assembly election in Chhattisgarh, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was murdered in the Narayanpur district of the state. The leader has been identified as Ratan Dubey, reports news agency ANI, quoting Bastar Range IG Sundarraj P. When asked about the involvement of Naxals in the case, the IG said that a team has been dispatched to the location, and anything in connection with the case will be cleared after the probe.

“A BJP leader (Ratan Dubey) was murdered today in the insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, said Bastar Range IG Sundarraj P.,” posted news agency ANI on X. (formerly known as Twitter)

 

BJP Chhattisgarh in charge, Om Mathur, said that while Dubey was chairing a meeting with the party workers in an interior village, he was attacked by Naxals. He also appealed to the party workers and leaders that he would take revenge for this by winning the elections.

 

The election in the state will be held in two terms on November 7 and November 17 to elect all 90 members of the assembly. The result will be declared on December 3.
