The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to release its manifesto, titled 'Sankalp Patra', for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Sunday. The manifesto is expected to outline the party's vision for welfare and development, as well as its roadmap for 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India), with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders scheduled to attend the unveiling ceremony at the party headquarters. The timing of the BJP manifesto launch coincides with the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, a revered figure in Indian history, particularly among the Dalit community, and a key architect of the Indian Constitution.

While the BJP government has made progress in fulfilling its core ideological promises, such as the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the repeal of Article 370, there is anticipation surrounding how the party's broader cultural and Hindutva agenda will be reflected in the manifesto.

Sources within the party indicate that the manifesto will prioritise measures aimed at addressing the needs of various segments of society, including the youth, women, farmers, and the economically disadvantaged. These four "castes," as Prime Minister Modi has often referred to them, are expected to feature prominently in the party's poll pledges.

A manifesto committee, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, was tasked with deliberating on the contents of the 'Sankalp Patra'. The committee convened twice to discuss various aspects of the manifesto, following extensive consultations with the public through initiatives such as vans deployed across the country and social media campaigns to seek suggestions.
