The Delhi Police on Wednesday informed that the fire brigade received a call at around 4 pm regarding the presence of a bomb at Delhi Airport Terminal 3. However, the authority clarified that the threat was ruled a hoax after investigating the scene. Apart from this, the Delhi police also stated that the IndiGo grievance portal also received mail mentioning the presence of a bomb at multiple airports, including Delhi, Chennai, and Goa. The authority further stated that precautionary checks have been conducted at all sites.
"The fire brigade received a call at 4 pm today about a bomb being found at Delhi Airport Terminal 3. However, after investigating the scene, it was ruled a hoax," the Delhi Police was quoted as saying by ANI. "The email was received on IndiGo's grievance portal. It mentioned several other airports, including Delhi, Chennai, and Goa. Following the information, precautionary checks have been conducted at all locations," the authority added.
Apart from this, an Air India Express spokesperson stated that all the protocols were being followed after the flight to Varanasi received a bomb threat. "All necessary security procedures promptly initiated. The flight landed safely and all guests have been disembarked. The aircraft will be released for operations once all mandated security checks are completed,” the spokesperson said.
