Haryana Secretariat Bomb Threat: An anonymous email warning of a potential explosive threat was sent to the official email address of the Haryana Secretariat, located in Chandigarh’s high-security government zone.
As a precaution, Police, Central Industrial Security Force personnel and bomb disposal squads were immediately deployed, and the building was temporarily evacuated to ensure employee safety, stated Chandigarh Police, according to news agency ANI.

This comes a day after a series of bomb threats targeted prominent private schools in Chandigarh and Gurugram on Wednesday morning causing widespread panic. Several institutions received threatening emails, prompting a swift and large-scale response from the police, bomb disposal squads, and disaster response teams.
A few schools in Chandigarh were evacuated after they received threat emails, said police. Police reached the school premises and conducted searches, they further said. Security was also stepped up around the schools.
Six private schools in Gurugram also received bomb threats through emails. The school management, police department, and district administration were alerted in this regard.
A search operation was launched in all six schools, and students were evacuated from the premises. Schools in Gurugram that received threats included - Kunsakpalan School in DLF Phase-1, Lancers School in Sector-53, Heritage Experiential Learning School in Sector-62 and 64, Shiv Nadar School DLF Phase-1, Shri Ram Aravali School and Pathway World School near Badshahpur.
