By Poll Results 2025 Live Updates: PDP Dethrones NC In Budgam, Congress' Naveen Yadav Wins Jubilee Hills, BJP's Devyani Rana Secures Nagrota

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha retained the Ghatshila seat in the by-election, winning by a margin of more than 30,000 votes. 

Here are the final numbers:

- JMM: Somesh Chandra Soren- 104794 

- BJP: Babu Lal Soren- 66270 

- JLKM: Ramdas Murmu- 11542 

BJP candidate Jay Dholakia has won by a landslide margin of more than 80,000 votes in the Nuapada Assembly elections. 

The final numbers are:

- BJP: Jay Dholakia- 1,23,869 

- CONG: Ghasi Ram Majhi- 40,121  

- BJD: Snehangini Chhuria- 38,408 

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party's Aga Syed Munazir Mehdi has won the Budgam by-election with a margin of 4,478 votes.

Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi looks to dethrone the National Conference (NC) by securing 21,576 votes against NC's Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi, who secured 17,097 votes after the sixteenth round.  

Congress candidate Naveen Yadav has won a decisive victory from the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat with a commanding majority of over 20,000 votes. BJP candidate Deppak Reddy lost his deposit while BRS finished in the second place.,

The counting for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-election concluded at the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium. Returning Officer, P. Sairam, announced the result in the presence of the District Election Officer (DEO).

Congress' candidate Pramod Jain Bhayya has won from the Anta Assembly Constituency by a margin of over 15,000 votes.

Aam Aadmi Party's Harmeet Singh Sandhu wins from the Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency in Punjab, winning by almost 11,000 votes. Sukhwinder Kaur of Shiromani Akali Dal came second, while independent candidate Mandeep Singh Khalsa came third. 

Congress' candidate Pramod Jain Bhayya inches towards victory in the Anta Assembly Constituency, Rajasthan, securing 59,850 votes. Trailing him is BJP's Morpal Suman with a vote share of 45,939 votes. The difference between both the candidates is over 13,000 votes. 

Congress' candidate Naveen Yadav takes a lead of over 19,000 votes after the seventh round of counting in the Jubilee Hills Constituency.

Here are the numbers:

- INC: Naveen Yadav - 70,341 votes

- BRS: Sunitha Gopinath - 50,544 votes

- BJP: Deepak Reddy Lankala - 11,923 votes

Post her win from Nagrota in the by-elections, newly elected BJP MLA Devyani Rana said, "I am fortunate that the manner in which Nagrota blessed Rana sahib (her father, late MLA Devender Singh Rana), they did their duty of being a family today too and blessed me. I will be thankful to them. When BJP contests elections, it does so to win. You can see the results here in Nagrota as well as in Bihar.",

Mizo National Front (MNF) candidate R Lalthangliana won the Dempa constituency by-elections by a margin of 562 votes. Counting of votes for the Dampa bypolls commenced at 8 AM today, and after 5 rounds of counting, the MNF candidate emerged victorious, receiving 6981 votes.

Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) candidate Vanlalsailova came second, receiving 6,419 votes while Congress' Jon Rotluangliana came third, receiving 2,394 votes. Two other candidates, including BJP's Lalmingthanga and Mizoram People's Conference candidate K Zahmingthanga, received 1541 votes and 50 votes respectively, while 45 people chose the None Of The Above (NOTA) option.

The MNF has managed to retain the seat, which had a repoll following the death of MNF MLA Lalrintluanga Sailo on July 22, 2025, at a hospital in New Delhi. With the win in Dempa, MNF has 10 assembly seats in Mizoram, while the ZPM rules the state with a comfortable majority of 27 MLAs in the 40-seat assembly.

BJP's Devyani Rana, daughter of late Nagrota MLA Devender Singh Rana, wins from Nagrota Assembly Constituency, securing 42,350 votes against Harsh Dev Singh, of Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party, who secured 17,703 votes.

Tables have turned in Budgam as PDP's Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi is leading by 2,304 votes against Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi of National Conference.

The Mizo National Front (MNF) has won the Dampa Assembly by-election in Mizoram. Its candidate, Dr R Lalthangliana, won by 562 votes, securing 6,981 votes.

Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate, Jay Dholakia, secured 45,251 votes against Biju Janata Dal's Snehangini Chhuria, who secured 14,784 votes.  

Somesh Chandra Soren, son of the late MLA Ramesh Soren leads by 7,541 votes, securing 16,110 votes. BJP's Babu Lal Soren is trailing, securing 8,569 votes.  

Congress candidate, Pramod Jain Bhaya, leads from the Anta Assembly constituency in Rajasthan by 5,049 votes, securing 23,693 votes. Independent candidate Naresh Meena is trailing, securing 18,644 votes.

Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi of the National Conference leads in Budgam by 481 votes, bagging 2,230 votes after the second round. Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi of PDP trails securing 1,749 votes.  

Aam Aadmi Party's Harmeet Singh Sandhu leads by 179 votes, bagging 9,552 votes after the fourth round of counting. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)'s Sukhwinder Kaur trails, getting 9,373 votes. INC's Karanbir Singh comes third, getting 5,267.

Congress candidate Naveen Yadav is leading with 17,874 votes in early trends. Bharat Rashtra Samithi's (BRS) Maganti Sunitha Gopinath is catching up by a close margin with 14,879 votes. Meanwhile, BJP's Deepak Reddy Lankala is trailing with 3,475 votes.

Daughter of late BJP MLA Devender Singh Rana, Devyani Rana leads at the Nagrota Assembly Constituency by 3724 votes as counting for Round 2 is underway. Trailing her is Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party candidate, Harsh Dev Singh.  

Mizo National Front's Dr R Lalthangliana leads at the Dempa Assembly Constituency of Mizoram. Trailing him is Vanialsailova of Zoram People's Party with 1379 votes.

Counting of votes for the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat by-election in Telangana began on Friday amid tight security. This seat is crucial for both the ruling Congress government and the BRS. The counting will be completed in 10 phases. Officials said a 48.49 percent voter turnout was recorded in the November 11 election. A total of 4.01 lakh voters cast their ballots, of which 1.94 lakh exercised their franchise. Extensive security arrangements have been made for the counting. The by-election was necessitated by the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year. The BJP has fielded L. Deepak Reddy, while Gopinath's widow, Sunita, is the BRS candidate. The ruling Congress candidate is Naveen Yadav, who also has the support of Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM.

Counting begins at Mai Bhago International College of Nursing in Tarn Taran. The seat fell vacant following the demise of sitting AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal.

District PRO Inderjit Singh says, "We have two counting centres. In a total of 14 counters, there will be 16 rounds of counting and the result will be declared for each round. A micro-observer is present with each counting officer. The entire process is transparent. The counting agents were issued an identity card, and the police checked everyone's ID before letting them inside.",

Adequate preparations are taken outside the booth in Nagrota. The seat fell vacant following the demise of sitting BJP MLA Devender Singh Rana; by-elections were held on November 11. ,

The counting for the Anta By-election in Rajasthan will take place at the Rajakiya Mahavidyalaya in Baran, Rajasthan. 

The seat fell vacant following the disqualification of BJP leader Kanwar Lal Meena from the Rajasthan Assembly. Bypoll in Anta was held on November 11, along with Phase II of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. 

The by-election was necessitated following the passing away of BJD leader Rajendra Dholakia. Snehangini Chhuria is the BJD candidate for the by-election at Nuapada. She will be up against Bharatiya Janata Party's Jay Dholakia and Congress's Ghasiram Majhi.,

The by-election in the Dempa assembly constituency of Mizoram is taking place after the death of the sitting Mizo National Front (MNF) legislator, Lalrintluanga Sailo. The Congress has chosen its State Vice-President and former minister John Rotluangliana as its candidate, while the BJP has named Lalhmingthanga. The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) will be represented by Vanlalsailova, and the Mizo National Front (MNF) has fielded its Vice-President and former minister R. Lalthangliana for the by-election.

According to the Election Commission, a total of 21,003 voters, including 20,888 general voters and 115 service voters are eligible to cast their votes in the Dampa constituency.,

The seat of Ghatshila fell vacant after the demise of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA Ramdas Soren in August. Soren had passed away in August after being treated in Delhi for injuries from a fall. It is likely to be a three-way contest in the Ghatsila assembly by-election. The NDA has entrusted its faith on Babulal Soren once again, while Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) nominated Ramdas Murmu. For JMM, Somesh Soren, son of Late Ramesh Soren, will contest the elections. ,

This seat in Western Punjab fell vacant after the demise of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA, Kashmir Singh Sohal, in June this year. The AAP has fielded Harmeet Singh Sandhu, the three-time MLA who defected from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The SAD has nominated Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa. The BJP has fielded its Tarn Taran district unit president, Harjit Singh Sandhu, who also defected from SAD before joining the BJP in 2022. The Congress has fielded its Tarn Taran district unit committee chief, Karanbir Singh Burj.,

The death of the sitting MLA and BRS leader, Maganti Gopinath, prompted the Jubilee Hills by-election in Telangana. The Congress party has nominated V Naveen Yadav, a leader belonging to the Backwards Class (BC), as its candidate. For BRS, Sunitha Gopinath, late Maganti Gopinath’s wife, has been chosen by the BRS. Lastly, the BJP has selected Lankala Deepak Reddy as its candidate.,

The by-election to the Anta assembly elections was necessitated after the disqualification of BJP leader Kanwar Lal Meena in a 2005 conviction case. Meena was accused of threatening a government official and was convicted in May this year. The Congress has fielded two-time MLA and former Minister for the Anta bypoll, while the BJP has announced the name of Morpal Suman. ,

The Nagrota assembly seat had fallen vacant after the sudden demise of BJP leader Devender Singh Rana on October 31, 2024, days after the result of J&K assembly elections. In the Nagrota seat, a three-way fight is anticipated between National Conference’s Shamim Begum, a sitting District Development Council (DDC) member, BJP’s Devyani Rana and J&K National Panthers Party president Harsh Dev Singh. The BJP has won the Nagrota Assembly seat three times, 2002, 2008, and 2024 while the National Conference secured victories twice in 1996 and 2014.,

Polling for the Budgam by-elections are taking place following the resignation of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah from the constituency. Abdullah chose to retain the Ganderbal constituency and vacate the Budgam constituency after he won both the seats in the 2024 Assembly elections. The National Conference has fielded Aga Mehmood while the PDP has give ticket to Aga Syed Muntazir and BJP to Syed Mohsin. A total of 20 candidates will be in the fray at the Budgam by-elections.
