By Poll Results 2025 Live Updates:
Bypolls were held in eight constituencies across six states along with the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The by-elections took place in Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Mizoram, Odisha, and Telangana.
In Jammu and Kashmir, BJP's Devyani Rana managed to retain the seat of Nagrota, while in Budgam, Mehbooba Mufti's PDP managed to win comfortably. In Jharkhand, late JMM MLA Ramesh Soren's son Somesh Soren won comfortably by a margin of 40,000 votes.
In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party managed to maintain its stronghold, winning the seat of Tarn Taran. AAP had fielded Harmeet Singh Sandhu from the seat, who won by over 10,000 votes. In Telangana and Rajasthan, Congress won comfortably from the Jubilee Hills and Anta assembly constituencies by over 24,000 votes and 15,000 votes.

Dempa By Poll Election Results Live: MNF Retains Assembly Seat In Mizoram
Mizo National Front (MNF) candidate R Lalthangliana won the Dempa constituency by-elections by a margin of 562 votes. Counting of votes for the Dampa bypolls commenced at 8 AM today, and after 5 rounds of counting, the MNF candidate emerged victorious, receiving 6981 votes.
Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) candidate Vanlalsailova came second, receiving 6,419 votes while Congress' Jon Rotluangliana came third, receiving 2,394 votes. Two other candidates, including BJP's Lalmingthanga and Mizoram People's Conference candidate K Zahmingthanga, received 1541 votes and 50 votes respectively, while 45 people chose the None Of The Above (NOTA) option.
The MNF has managed to retain the seat, which had a repoll following the death of MNF MLA Lalrintluanga Sailo on July 22, 2025, at a hospital in New Delhi. With the win in Dempa, MNF has 10 assembly seats in Mizoram, while the ZPM rules the state with a comfortable majority of 27 MLAs in the 40-seat assembly.

Jubilee Hills Bypoll Election Results Live: Counting Begins In Telangana
Counting of votes for the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat by-election in Telangana began on Friday amid tight security. This seat is crucial for both the ruling Congress government and the BRS. The counting will be completed in 10 phases. Officials said a 48.49 percent voter turnout was recorded in the November 11 election. A total of 4.01 lakh voters cast their ballots, of which 1.94 lakh exercised their franchise. Extensive security arrangements have been made for the counting. The by-election was necessitated by the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year. The BJP has fielded L. Deepak Reddy, while Gopinath's widow, Sunita, is the BRS candidate.
