A young tourist sustained serious injuries after his car plunged into a 300-foot-deep ravine while filming a social media reel at Table Point in Satara, Maharashtra. The shocking incident, which occurred in full view of bystanders, was caught on camera and has since sparked widespread concern over safety at the popular hilltop location.

The accident took place around 4 pm on Wednesday in the Sadawaghapur area of Gujarwadi. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Sahil Jadhav from Goleshwar in Karad, was reportedly attempting a risky stunt near the edge of the viewpoint when he lost control of the vehicle. Rescue teams, with the help of local residents, managed to pull him from the wreckage and rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that Jadhav suffered severe injuries in the fall. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have urged tourists to avoid performing stunts or dangerous activities at such high-risk spots.

The incident has reignited debate over the lack of basic safety infrastructure at Table Point, which draws a large number of visitors for its picturesque views. Locals say the area lacks railings or barricades, making it especially hazardous.

In the wake of the viral video showing the car tumbling into the valley, residents have renewed calls for authorities to take immediate action installing guardrails, putting up warning signs, and enforcing safety norms to prevent further accidents.
