On being asked about the rumours of Soren joining the BJP, Champai said that he was not able to understand who was saying all this.
"I don't understand who is saying all of this..." He said he came to Delhi for "some personal work". Soren said he didn't meet any BJP leaders.
The former Jharkhand CM left for Delhi on Sunday. As he landed in Delhi, Soren said that he hasn't met any BJP leader and that he is in the national capital on a "personal" visit.
Earlier, he expressed his pain over the way he was treated by his own party and said that "he was devastated as his self-respect was harmed" when he was asked to resign from his post after Chief Minister Hemant Soren was released on bail. Soren said that he was "insulted" during his tenure, adding that until the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly polls, "all options are open for him".
He also detailed several instances where he was not permitted to call a legislative party meeting and was abruptly asked to resign, prompting him "to look for an alternative path." In a long post on X, Soren reflected on his political journey, from advocating for workers against industrial houses early in his career to his involvement in the Jharkhand movement, emphasising his commitment to public concerns.
"Can there be anything more humiliating in a democracy than a Chief Minister's programmes being cancelled by another person?" Soren listed out the bitter experiences he faced during his tenure.
He had also mentioned three options.
“First to retire from politics, second to float a separate outfit, and third, if I find a companion on this path, then to travel further with him.”
"From that day until now, and through the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, all options are open for me in this journey," Champai said.
The development in political realm of Jharkhand is being seen as significant for both the faction as Champai making his way out of the party will certainly impact the party significantly. Meanwhile, if he joins BJP, the party is likely to gain several seats in the upcoming assembly election.
