JE News Desk: Bhim Army chief and Dalit leader Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan’s condition is stable after being shot at by unidentified men in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district on Wednesday. In a video message from the hospital, Azad asked his supporters to maintain peace.
"I did not expect such a sudden attack. I want to appeal to my friends, supporters & workers across the country to maintain peace. We will continue our fight Constitutionally...I am fine with the love and blessings of crores of people..." Aazad said as quoted by ANI.

Azad, along with his younger brother and four other people, were in a car when the incident took place in Saharanpur on June 28. The incident occurred at around 5 pm near Union Circle under the Deoband Police station area. One of the two bullets that were fired grazed Azad's abdomen, and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
Taking action against the assailants, Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday registered a first information report (FIR) at the Deoband police station in Saharanpur district in connection with June 28 incident.
The 36-year-old Aazad had gone to attend a 'terhavin' ritual at a supporter's home in Saharanpur district's Deoband, the police said. The assailants fired "four shots" at his SUV when he was leaving, they added.
Abhimanyu Manglik, Superintendent of Police (SP), Saharanpur had also confirmed Azad's health. He said that police are on the lookout for the accused and an investigation is underway.
