Chennai Viral Video: A man from Chennai has been arrested after a video capturing him physically assaulting his wife in public went viral. The footage, recorded by a passerby near Chennai's Koyambedu bridge, shows the man identified as Roshan attacking his wife.

The incident was brought to the attention of authorities after it was widely shared on social media. When the person recording the video informed Roshan that the police are on their way, he immediately lifted his wife, placed her on their two-wheeler and fled the scene.

Following the viral video, the Greater Chennai Police immediately responded and registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Roshan. He has since been arrested and is currently under investigation.

The incident drew the attention of Dr. Karthik Kuppan, a member of the AIADMK party in the state, who took to social media to condemn the assault. He questioned whether the government would take appropriate action in response to the incident.

The video, shared on April 27 has widely being shared on social media, amassing over 263,000 views. Many internet users praised the quick response of the Chennai Police in addressing the situation. First user commended their efforts, stating, "Great job. Thanks to our Chennai Police." Second one wrote, "Firstly appreciate person who took the video and shared. Secondly appreciate swift action by police".

Third one wrote, "Great. Please increase a patrol in Chennai city. Many crimes are happening in recent days."
